Circuit training
Hey man, ironically a lot of trainers say that a swimmer's physique is more from gym work as resistance in the pool is pretty much set you don't get much muscle growth or strength gains, and its mostly flexors/pulling muscles. I think the reason everyone wants swimmer's bodies is because they're really well balanced (between legs and upper body, chest and back etc) and have low, but not vein poppingly low, body fat. I'd go for circuit training every 2 to 3 days (depending on how fast you recover, go for every 3 initially and you'll soon be needing the a 3rd workout per week haha) working your whole body for a good 45-60 minutes each session.
Do reps of 8-20 for each exercise, definately using lots of compound exercises like full dips, press-ups, pull ups (that's important for that V shape, make sure you use different variations as well, there's tonnes out there), squats, hamstring curls and plenty core work. Like I said man as well, swimmer's have really balanced physiques so for every set of a chest exercise you do, make sure you get a back, quads, hamstring and core exercise as well. If you can manage, get some swimming in on your off-days and it'll help get your body fat down. Train hard man!
P.S. Gymnastics conditioning is a great way to build up your upper body, check out gymnasticbodyies.com and beastskills.com, there's some good moves that'll give you a burn like nothing else haha
