incorrect, its actually the opposite, many people should obtain their vitamins from fruits, and vegetables. People with certain digestive disorders, pregnant women, eating disorders, and a few other categories may benefit from vitamins. If you have a ****ty diet, then maybe id consider it. But if you do why are you bodybuilding in the first place.

The Importance of Vitamins
Vitamins are helpful in processing carbohydrates, proteins, and fat. As your body is stressed more with body building, your body requires more vitamins to build muscle mass.
Our body does not produce vitamins except for vitamin D. you should get the required vitamins necessary for the body from food and health supplements . The vitamins do not supply energy or add to body mass but are involved in several functions such as function of central nervous system, bone metabolism, immune function, hemoglobin production, and energy metabolism.

You aren't going to get cancer from taking vitamins... you can get too much of them though.. different vitamins will do different things if you OD, but it will first try to flush them out (evident in very dark yellow, sometimes thick and strong smelling urine). Your body knows what you need and what to flush, but your liver and kidneys will be working way overtime to process it all. Try cutting back on some of the supps that have mostly the same ingredients, you might just be waisting your money. Also maybe look into adding milk thistle to your supps to keep your liver in good health.

They all are important and serve one purpose or another in basic bodily function. Some people don't take them because they don't feel any better right off the bat, but over time you will notice the change. Just taking a good quality multi-vit is better than nothing at all, and they are usually pretty cheap.

Hmmmmm.
Your article is great from the standpoint that it explains the importance of these vitamins. However, I've been on the fence for a while now, as to whether I am getting everything I need from my now super-healthy diet, already.
Hell, for 20+ years, I ate absolutely horrible garbage, and yet I managed to survive. Okay, so I certainly had some health issues, and generally felt like crap.... but just surviving on that garbage says something. Surely my body must be getting WAY more of it's healthy requirements now, than before. Although I'm not saying there is no room for improvement. (see my recent post on juicing machines... I know I should eat more veggies)
And something else to consider.... Now, each vitamin is different in this regard, but while some vitamins can be overdosed, and dealt with quite easily by the body, others can't. The latter, can do more harm than good, if your getting too much of them.
To recap; Not getting enough of the proper vitamins and mineral can be detrimental. Getting too much of certain vitamins and minerals can also be detrimental.
Wish I knew the perfect balance....
