coworkers wants to head out to a middle eastern hole in the way stand for lunch. I didnt brown bag it today, so its too late to back out. The only type of meat they have is gyro meat on a spit. I'm sure they have both chicken and beef. I doubt the chicken is white meat, and I doubt the layer of melting fat sitting on top does anything to help me.... Does anyone know how bad this stuff is for you compared to regular chicken breast?
I think Ill try to asking for some shredded lettuce topped with a small portion of the chicken.

Raditional Greek "Fast Food" includes the "souvlaki" and the "gyro". Two terms that are interchangeable and can refer to two different things depending on the town, restaurant, or waiter.
Traditionally, souvlaki refers to shiskebab (pieces of pork grilled on a stick) but many times it refers to gyros (the assortment of minced meat, tomatoes, onions, and tzatziki, wrapped in pita bread). So you run the risk when ordering a souvlaki (the shiskebab) to find that you really ordered a Gyros sandwich and vice versa.
I wouldn't worry too much brother, just eat it in moderation. If you always do what you've always done, you'll always get what you've always got.

Strong 4th post in over a year bumping an old thread with flawed information. Nice...
Short term Goal: To cut back before bulking like a demon.
Mid term Goal: To find myself.
Long term Goal: To get what's mine.
