It really depends on where you are at with achieving your goals. If you were preparing for a competition, then alcohol would be out at 7cals per gram.... I have the occasional drink and tend to stick to diet soda and either vodka or bourbon for the least amount of cals.

Generally the white alcohols (vodka, rum, gin) have approx 60 calories per ounce (one ounce is standard). I usually have vodka and club soda, or sparkling water (for no calories). Usually its not the calorie or sugar content of the alcohol that is the problem, it is what you mix with it. That is usually what helps dehydrate you and causes worse hangovers.
I don't know if you mean one or two a day or one or two a week. If it is once or twice a week then consider it part of your cheat. But I don't think one or two is that big a deal (as I said depending on what you mix it with) especially if you are not competing.

if you are dieting, stick with a glass of red wine or a vodka and club.

Well, I'm young, "too young" to drink. While I used to go out and to the teen thing; I'm not so big on it anymore, for a few reasons, one of them being the effect alcohol has on your mucsles...i will try to find exactly what it does, or maybe someone else knows, but i know i didn't like what i heard, so in my senior year of high school, i haven't touched the stuff for since like, last year. As far as the calories go, it ccould be used as a a cheat in that sense, but as far as the damage, I'd stay away, IMO.

thanks guys. I usually have a shot of vodka and water chaser. Sometimes I'll drink vodka and plain water with lime. Looks like I was on the right track. Someone told me that rum is the worst though, not sure if it was BS though. Anyway thank you guys so much.

I do go for drinks with friends but try to drink as less as you can coz alcohol just gives you empty calories and it just damage you muscles!

When I go out with friends, I always volunteer to drive. . . don't know if that's an option for you, or if you really wanna drink, though.

I stopped drinking when I decided to start competing. Before that, I drank on Saturdays which was my cheat day.
