1 week out. SNBF Georgia. Here are some pics. Will keep you updated
I have a few pics on my site www.dynamic-bodyworks.com/contests22.htm
Current a.m. weight 175 lbs. Bodyfat???? (It's super low)
Will be moderately sodium loading and depleting. Same with carbs. Will reduce carbs Mon3-28 thru Fri 4-1. Will start loading with sweet potatoes and brwn rice Fri evening.
I've always done competitions just to do them cause it's fun. I'm tired of just showing up and getting in the top 3. I'm finally ready to win one.
Will also be doing:
NPC Eastern Seaboard
Junior Nationals
Npc Georgia
SNBF ATlanta
SNBF Nationals

I don't remembering contest prep being "fun" haha but the work sure as hell pays off.
Good luck.
Could they even imagine? Imagine the tears you've tasted, imagine the blood you gave, and the sweat you poured? And it was all because no one believed. All because no one cared until one day. One day when you became something. The day they stopped moving you...and you moved them. This is your life, your pain and your heart. Today is the day. Tomarrow is here.

As I sit here and snack on a few Reece's cups, I reflect on my "final week" prep. I took 3rd in the Open Men's Medium class. I, as well as much of the crowd thought I should have taken 2nd because of my conditioning. The guy that took first place definitely deserved it with his size and conditioning. I came in at my all-time lightest (171lbs) and had deeper striated pecs, triceps, and outer quads than my usual 175-176.
My posing routine was done to Prince - International Lover, which I recieved the "Best Poser" award.
Water - Kept it high (2 gallons) all the way up through Friday at bedtime. Saturday, I had 10oz. every 3 hours with my carb load meals. In the past, I would water deplete down to almost nothing, which kept me flat. Next show, I will keep my water the same as I did for this show.
Carbs - Started the week at about 220g per day from grits and brown rice. Gradually decreased as the week went on and ended up at 180g on Friday. Started loading up every 3 hours with sweet potato, white rice, banana, protein bar, filet mignon, and chicken from 11pm Friday all the way to Saturday's nite show. Pump room carbs were rice cakes, natty peanut butter, grape jelly, and reece's cups. I think I could have loaded a bit more aggresively and should have started the loading process earlier on Friday. I was tight, hard, and extremely vascular Saturday nite and got a great pump. The after-show cheat meal was at the Marietta Diner. Had 3 pancakes w/ syrup, Lasagna, Scrambled eggs, plain Cheesecake, and about 8 cups of water. Woke up Sunday morning looking my absolute best, with no bloating.
Sodium - Kept it at 3350mg per day up to Friday when I lowered it to about 2500mg. Had just what was in my meals on Saturday. Next show, I will do my sodium the same.
Overall, I was very satisfied with the way things went even though others were upset with the judges decision. My first couple of shows this year will be for me to "play around" and see how my body responds to water, carbs, and sodium manipulation. I will have the "secret" formula figured out by Sept. when the INBF Pro Qualifer rolls around.
