Will I be ready for my first figure comp?
I am 7 weeks out from my first figure competition, i'm nervous about not having low enough bf %. I'm 5'9" currently measuring at 17%. Judging by my progress pics do you think i have enough time to get where i need to be? I am currently doing cardio an hour before breakfast 6 days a week in addition to my weight training. Thanks for the help!!

Sounds like you're doing great! A body can change worlds in 7 weeks. I've watched my boyfriend lose tons of body fat pre show in the amount of time. You might want to throw in a twenty minute intense cardio session in the afternoon just to jump start the lazy metabolism you might have due to you cutting diet. Good luck! Keep going strong! Oh yea, your morning cardio you might try walking on an incline (I don't know what you're doing) because it's really effective without being catabolic. Plus you won't be super tired for your weight training in the afternoon and that extra twenty minute cardio session if you decide to impliment one.

Okay so I just looked at your newest progress pictures, and I think you look really good. I haven't competed yet, but I just went to the Arkansas Classic and saw plenty of women and pro's so I feel like I have a good understanding of what you'll be up against. You do have some more leaning to do, but you have a lot of time. Once you lose some more fat and dry out, you're going to look amazing! Good luck and congrats on your hard work and gains. You might want to try doing some zippers (you can look them up online) to bring out the cuts in your thighs. They are an exercise that makes a world of difference for your quads. You look great!

i am borderline anemic, so it is getting very tough with the cardio increasing, i am taking b12 and vitamin c and a regular vitamin with 100% daily value of iron on top of my supplements. i can usually make through the middle of the week fine but thurs are ruff!! lol, but i work through it!!

I think you will be fine in 7 wks as long as you are doing figure & not bodybuilding. Those girls in BB get extremely lean. You look great. Just keep at it & best of luck! Oh, & don't forget to have fun.

That doesn't look like 17% to me at all. You're on track.

Stay strong sweets! You got a great foundation...and those lats are incredible! Prepare to the best of your ability and then go and knock the judges out. Just keep your eyes open through the whole process of the competition. You'll learn valuable lessons and technics to come in stronger and more confident for the next competition. That is why I want to start with a local show. Small, but gets me up on stage with little on in front of people trying to flex my brains out ;-) You will have to let us know how everything turns out. GOOD LUCK!

Girl, you look awesome! Your waist is so tiny, and your back is just perfect! I have a good feeling you will do very well, probably first place! I can't wait to hear how you do!

Wow, you are looking phenominal for your first show! Trust me, you will be absolutely fine. What did you use to measure your body fat that gave you a 17% reading? I once used one of those hand-held ones that they have at the gym about 2 weeks out from Team Universe this summer and it told me 16 %....and I think anyone that saw me compete at Team U would agree that I was not 16% LOL.
Sometimes those things are just not accurate, and the best way to measure progress is in the mirror and in pictures....and you are progressing wonderfully
Good luck!!
