All I've done is whey, EFA pills, vitamins, and eating a lot... "clean bulk" I suppose.
In some areas I feel like I've made little progress... I still think my chest and arms are my weakest parts. In my back I think I've acheived significant progress.
Critique mah Physique.

6 Months of Weight lifting Before and After pics
Kid: *Looks at the veins in my arms* "WOAH! Are you on crack or something?!"
Personal Trainer: "Your veins are like pipes O_o...." :D
Age: 18, Height 5'7", Weight: 150lbs, ****type: Mesomorph, Fiber Type: Fast Twitch (Quit being anal, I know I have both.)
I've switched things up. Maybe I'll post some new maxes soon. (My size-strength ratio is so bad! :P)

Thanks guys :P. Funny how most guys work chest but mine is probably my crappiest part. I didn't really realize how to fully take advantage of bench press until about 1/2 or 2/3 way through the 6 months... I was focusing on just pushing it up (arms) instead of using my pecs to bring it up.
I'm doin' flat, decline, and incline though so hopefully now that I know what I'm doin' I will see results...Last edited by Veteran_Gymnast; 03-25-2005 at 09:49 PM.

Thanks guys . Any critiques though? Or am I pretty much right on that my chest needs the most work and my arms need a little more size to be in proportion?

Your wheels, right now, are probably your best asset. Your back has shown signs of improvement, and so has the rest of you. You are progressing well across the board, the obvious sore spot is your chest.
Didn't see a calf shot, so no idea on those.
Really, the only things I'd seriously pay extra attention to is your triceps and chest. Other than that, you're on par for your size.NSCA-CPT.

woot! thanks guys
Triceps come second on arm day. I'm going to switch them to first.
Chest... I just need to keep on truckin' there.. I'm doing the right stuff.. just takes time...
Calves... they're alright. I do one-legged calf raises on the calf machine for 10 reps each 3 times....but don't hit 'em anywhere else.
I probably should add seated calf raises to that but MAN... my leg day takes SOOOooo Loooonng as it is (up to an hour and a half)... it's Legs/Abs/Lower Back and I'm always sick by the end of it -_-'.
I do...
Squats 3x10
Stiff-Legged Deadlift 3x10
Leg Press 3x10
Hamstring Curls 3x10
Calf Raises
Decline Situps 2x10 with 35 lbs. 1x10 bodyweight
Extensions for lower back 2x10 with 35 lbs. 1x10 bodyweight
Then I do a 2-minute "core" (or whatever you want to call it) burnout.
30 second hollow hold (basically balancing on my rear holding my legs and upper body up using my abs).... then ten pike-ups (or v-ups)
I immediately go to my side.. 30 second hold... 10 "side-ups" :P
go to my stomach. 30-second hold... 10 "supermans"
other side...30 second hold... 10 sideup things.
Basically by the end of this I'm usually lightheaded.. I feel sick... and I have no energy left, and I have trouble just standing up from sitting.... it takes like an hour and a half <_< meh.Kid: *Looks at the veins in my arms* "WOAH! Are you on crack or something?!"

You've made a bit of gains on your arms though, especially your forearms--congrats. I think you could probably be eating more overall, and you'll see even more gains. Good luck!Short black leather skirts, stomach tattoo, glitter panties, sexy belt...had to have you...

well, i dont wanna flame you but i dont see that much of a difference.im just being honest and trying to give constructive critism.my advice is eat a whole lot more.i know you said you dont like "bulking" and eating a lot but that is what you need.you look almost identical in the after pictures.they only look slightly different beacause of lighting.i think you filled out a tiny bit overall and mostly in the chest but not that much.i know 6 months is not that long and especially for a hardgainer but after 6 months there should be more size than that.you look like you gained maybe 5 pounds.
if you had your calories up another 1000 youd probably be a lot bigger in the after pictures.im sure you work your ass off like everyone on this board, but you gotta listen to your body.if your not making good gains with the food your taking in now you gotta manipulate it so you do make the gains.
keep training hard and smart and youll get to where u wanna be

RAEKWON201 - Thanks for putting it in a nice way
You guys are probably right about eating more. It's hard at college and even harder at home.
Basically as time has gone on, my mom has cooked less and less, so she'll cook just dinner every other day or something.... and just becuase she cooked dinner doesn't mean it involves a lot of protein O_o...
College is better, but still, if I ate as much as I wanted... I'd run out of food in no time and I just don't have the cash.
It's rough :'(
Even if I don't look that much bigger, I'm really happy with how I look . I'd love to see more progress, but I'm not sure I can eat the amount of food I need to... I have a wild metabolism. <_<...
Imma shave my chest for when I go to the beach this summer, but chest stubble is sick and I'm not going to shave until then 'cuase I'll have to shave all the time.
If nothing less, I'm gaining strength :P.Kid: *Looks at the veins in my arms* "WOAH! Are you on crack or something?!"

Considering you have only been lifting for six months and basically on a "restricted" diet, I think youve done quite OK.
All body parts have seen at least some improvement. You are making progress, and that (to me) is all that counts.
Im glad to see all the criticism has been constructive thus far!You gotta love how sports will f*ck with ya, make you believe you can come back from an insurmountable deficit and then get kicked right in the nuts when you're almost there - Bluntdogg

You guys are way too gentle here. You should be able to answer the question yourself. Think about it, you've been working out half a YEAR, 180 days and this is all you have to show for it?
Those pictures are literally identical in most aspects, except the second set you generally took better pictures! Are you trying to fool someone?
The only noticable difference I saw was in your arms. Work on eating more and more! Also, change your routine!! Look around this website, its an EXCELLENT source of information! You need less cardio and high rep movements and more heavy lifting (unless you're goal is to stay small and lose weight, in which case I guess you are doing decent).
I have a wild metabolism too, but I'm resting on a pretty decent 6'3 210lb frame, and I consider myself skinny, so its possible, but I won't lie, its a bitch to eat healthy, and my college life really allows for it, so I can see where you are at a disadvantage.
All in all I see almost no change, but If you feel stronger and feel better, then in the end you are better.
