Mate could be! its not a huge weight fluctuation... coulda been taken at a different times in the day... theres alot of variables that it could be.. i mean its only 3 pounds. which is roughly 1.3kg or sumthing... could even be different jewelery or clothes (includigng shoes).
sounds like u do a fair bit of gym. The thing i find with myself though, is that maybe ya body didnt get enough fuel (could be solid food or fluid) so it had to hold onto more because had worked out so ur body needs all it can to repair so u dont excrete as much thus u weigh more.... too many variables though...Last edited by BeachWeights; 09-05-2007 at 06:41 AM.

3lbs isnt much.
And there are so many factors...some could be muscle, some of it fat, some retention etc etc...
Instead of weighing yourself every day and getting all confused when it goes up or down a few pounds, weight yourself once every week or two so you can more accurately track your progress.

I had been only weighing myself ever two weeks but I was getting funky numbers except for monday, but I wanted to make doubly sure something was wrong. I doubt most of its muscle if it is solid gain, 3 lbs of solid weight in a week is alot consdiering i was only eating 2500-2800 cals and my maintance is 2000-2300

Well I actually lose 20 lbs and am trying to get the muscle back I lost, I listened to a nurtitionist who told me to eat a 70/15/15 diet lose weight from 148 (not even over weight) i was 12-15 % bf and lost a ton of muscle, I just want to get to 145 SLOWLY. My vascularity in my chest/delts/bi's/forearms is the same, waist is roughly the same, i actually cut calories from 3500 to 2800 and reduced my activity hardcore, I wasn't gaining at 3200-4000 but i was probably burning 500-1500 a day... I doubt its weight gain permenant, I think I gained 2 lbs over the last two weeks, but def not 3.

yeah, whenever you eat a lot of carbohydrates you will start to retain more water...for instance when people cheat they may only eat a pound or two of food total, but still jump up like 10 lbs...that is because of the glycogen being stored in your body along with water weight that goes along with large intakes of carbohydrates...the moral of the story is...just wait and only weigh yourself 1-2 times per week, any more than that and you'll just frustrate yourself.
