It is per day. Go for at least 1.5g protein per lb of bodyweight, so if you were 200 lbs, you would need 300g protein. For carbs, you should eat more grams carbs than protein. In my opinion, go far a 20/50/30 ratio for calories. This means 20% calories from fat, 50% from carbs, 30% from protein. Some people also use a 20/40/40 ratio.
1g of fat = 9 calories | 1g of carbs = 4 calories | 1g protein = 4 calories

I am not even going to give input here, as this is going to be great amusement to watch. I will give my input after all of the "knowledgeable" people on the subject of dietetics have their say.
All I will say is my average intake of protein per day (in grams) is 550-600 grams. I don't recommend this to people that don't have a diet suited for this to begin with.Last edited by KhanPaulsen; 03-24-2005 at 07:28 PM.
