Great pic.

A combination of intense training and low bodyfat create that kind of vascularity. Anything that makes the heart pump HARD will gradually build vascularity. Things like 20 rep squats are very effective.

My next goal is to keep the size I have in the first pic below and obtain the definition I had in the second (abs) pic. Hopefully that will create some crazy vascularity.

Give the barbell rows a go. Use a Yates style grip (ie, palms up not down). These are AWESOME for adding thickness and mass to your lats. They have been the single best back exercise I do (apart from deadlifts).

I find my back is lacking too...I usually stick to the machines for back..bad eh?

Barbell rows...hmm? what is the proper form so the exercise is not off?
