    Box squat and parallel squats, question

    Should the weight you do on parallel squats be the same as what you do on box squats, or higher/lower? I'm asking because I can do do at least 245 on regular squat and about 280 on box squat. Would I be able to break 280+ on regular?

    Bench Press: 155 (185)
    Deadlift: 285 (315)
    Parallel Squat: 300 (315)
    Power Clean: 155 (175) Met the new goal!

    I am friends with a lot of WSBers, and I can say this...

    Your box squat should NEVER be higher than your squat. Your form isn't right if it is higher. Box squat form, in its correct version, isn't the most comfortable squat position.

    I'm quite sure my form is pretty good. I go down to right before the bar touches the rails of the squat racks on parallel. If my par. squat should be better than my box squat, should I try 300 on the parallel?

    With box squats, you quite literally, you should be squatting onto a box, pausing for a heartbeat, and then exploding all the way to the top. They are the DE Squat day equivalent to DE Bench day.

    I suggest you do some study on WSB methods.
