Are Chin-Ups The Best Bicep Exercise Apart From Barbell Curls?

Are Chin-Ups The Best Bicep Exercise Apart From Barbell Curls? I want to know this as I am looking for the 2nd best bicep exericise to include in my routine as I already know that barbell curls tend to be the best!

I most definitly think they are. In my cycle right i'm not even doing any sort of curls, just chins to hit by bi's and it's certainly more than enough.

My vote is "Definitely" and actually I think BB curls should be put lower on your list than "Second!" Almost any heavy back work, aside from things that obviously don't recruit the Bi's, is going to be superior to "Curls."

No. A chin up is when you pull yourself (and additional weight if able) up towards a stationary bar with your palms facing towards you. There are no cables involved. And I agree with the above posters, chinups should be ranked above barbell curls.

Yep. For a while, I had them as my only bicep exercise. They worked great for me.

I do chin ups too, they are a really good excercise.

maybe weighted you could say so... after you're able to hit 20+ reps, they start to not do as much toward building biceps
