    Beans-- acceptable carb before bed?

    Are beans, during dinner, considered "starchy" or "fibrous" carbs?
    (I need some soluble fiber, hehe)
    What is your verdict?
    How about lentil soup?

    They're both. They are a complex carb source, but pack a lot of fiber. Personally, I'd stick with fruit or yogurt for before bed because I think beans or any other complex carb would upset my stomach. If you can handle it, then I'd say they're fine. They pack a little bit of protein as well.

    Like I mentioned, fruit or yogurt are my favorites, dairy is fine. If you can handle digesting them, any complex carb works: oatmeal, whole wheat bread, brown rice, sweet potato, etc.

    I try to keep carbs minimal at night since I store fat pretty easily, but if you have a faster metabolism, you can get away with any slow burning carb.

    green fibrous veggies

    and before bed focus more on protein + fat

    chicken/ tuna / beef or if you can a caesin protein..... Cottage Cheese , Milk . Yogurt, or caesin shake

    + healthy fat --- Peanut Butter, Almonds, Healthy oil

    mix and match and enjoy.. if you want have some veggies on the side ( green beans, califlour, broccoli, asparagus, small salad
