When is hollywood gonna scoop up some IFBB pro's?

Can't they at least put like Ruhl in a X-men or something. I would love to see some of these guys on the big screen. Make Ronnie a security guard in a movie at least. They scooped up Arnold, now it's time to start scouting again.

How great of actors could they actually be tho ? I mean they can pose well on stage but talking in front of a camera and trying to take them serious is hard to do. But i mean it would be kool if they did a remake of the all the Marvel comics and brought back the Hulk and Ruhl as Captain America............................

If u rep me and i like u enough, i will print your name on the cave wall for the aliens to find.....then maybe they will think u were an important person............

Or did Arnold scoop up Hollywood?

I would assume that any individual would have to make at least a small effort to infiltrate Hollywood, maybe the desire isn't there?

Arnold could run - Ruhl would collapse walking from his chair to the set.

I would have to disagree with either Ruhl or Ronnie being in movies. They are too big to be realistic, and bodybuilding is currently not popular enough to have all the hardcore fans bringing in enough money when viewing the films. You would need smaller bodybuilders such as Dexter Jackson, who people find more realistic, and are more inclined to strive towards (having his body).

In my oppinion Dexter would be the perfect crossover star, I just don't know how well he acts?

It's toward the beginning. During the high priced gyms comercial on TV. He is doing curls toward the end of the commercial, and the rich gym owner(don't remember name) says something to him i believe, it is a very small part though.

    Ronnie as Apocalypse.

    Ruhl as Juggernaught.

(they'd have to do some acting courses though, and deepen their voices a bit, or use some other vocal manipulation to change their pitch.)

It'd be nice if they could find a Draper-esque or Arnold-esque physique for He-Man. Dexter Jackson could be the new Zodac.

any see the movie be cool? they didnt have any big named bodybuilders but there was like 4 or 5 dudes in the (bodyguards of course) that where pretty jacked. looked like they could all compete in they put a lil effort into it.
Intensely loyal. Die hard. Dedicated. That's hardcore if you looked it up in a dictionary. When it comes to bodybuilding, hardcore is more. It's a mentality, a way of living.

I think on the big screen, people the size of Ronnie or Ruhl would just look obese. I can hardly think of much appropriate script material for them running around in states of undress either. Wearing clothing, they would look obese for sure. A little bit of muscle and low bodyfat goes a long way on screen anyway. Thats why Brad Pitt looks muscular, and someone like The Rock had to actually lose a bunch of muscle mass for the big screen. The Rock was big, but carried nowhere near IFBB pro-level mass at his biggest.

Even Arnold in the Conan movies was smaller than in his competative bodybuilding days, was he not?

Yea, now that I think about it, Priest would be a perfec Wolverine. He's only supposed to be about 5'6". And Lee has the PERFECT build for it.

Actually Wolverine is 5'0" in the comics. He's REALLY short. Lee is actually a good 4 inches taller than Wolverine should be. That's why I really balked at the idea of Hugh Jackman playing Wolverine. Jackman is over 6 feet. Hugh Jackman playing Wolverine was like Danny Padilla playing Juggernaut.

In my oppinion Dexter would be the perfect crossover star, I just don't know how well he acts?
I agree with you completely, and yet I think Dexter is still way too big for a mainstream role. He's short, too, so getting him to look normal in any scene is a challenge. Dexter in street clothes is massive. He may be tiny compared to Ronnie, but put Dexter next to any normally-sized person and it's a joke.

And ot the original poster, what roles dso you think need to do to IFBB pros? A superhero type, I guess, but none of the current crop can even carry on a conversation with speck of excitement, so most of the top guys are out.

Besides, there are muscular guys in Hollywood now taking those roles. There's nothing we're missing. Besides, a "huge" guy on screen can be WAAAAY smaller than a IFBB pro.

Nobody cares if Dester or Ruhl or Cutler or anyone play a bodyguard in the next Hillary Duff flick. Nobody cares about pro bb'ing these days. We all love it, but ultra-muscular isn't "in".

    Exactly.

What was that movie Arnold did where he was a pregnant man? A role like that comes to mind for alot of the pros. No pillow under the shirt needed.

Junior is what you are thinking of.

I assume that you mean pro's of today, for no one today could hit a twisting double bicep shot like Arnold could. The idea of a skinny waist is gone... in fact (o/t) do they even hit twisting double bicep poses anymore?

Yeah, I was just poking a little fun at the guts of today. And you don't see much of that pose these days, it's a little unflattering.

O/T still, Richard Jones is about the only pro who could turly pull it off. MAYBE Victor Martinez, but I doubt it.
