A Hot Me By 43
Hi, everyone who new me as chubby mom, I had to make a new Profile page because I got sick of arguing with my better half. He did not like the fact that I was posting on this sight. I was so excited about it and of course had told him about it. All of the support I got from you all helped a lot in me getting into better shape and I was really on a roll for the first few months. But instead of my husband being excited for me he was mad even got jealous when I posted picks of my fat belly for a before pick. Anyway he told me how stupid I sounded when I would post in your journals. He set things up so he would know each time I did post. Well it was either stop posting all together or do what I did. So I am starting over again. I can't wait to get caught up on your journals. Hope you all have had a wonderful summer.

I think you're mistaken on just who the better half is in your marriage...'cause I think it's you

Welcome back, Roseanne! You are definitely not chubby. Maybe your hubby just feels insecure by the fact that you're getting in such good shape. I'm not justifying it -- just stating that some people get insecure about such things. I would think he would be glad you're so fit and such a hottie!

Thanks HHG
Na he has actually gotten better over the 15 years we have been married. He used to be much worse. I should have known better. If I would have been thinking and not deliriously happy about the forum I would have kept my mouth shut and everything would have been just fine.

Hi Hibby it?s so nice to see your cute little backside again
Yep you are right Hibby but I can?t stay fat for him and I am not going to stop telling men on this sight that they are looking really good because of all their hard work. If I acted the same way about him I could understand. Heck he had a really close female friend at work. His co workers even thought they were and item and I wasn?t jealous heck I trust him wish he could do the same. Oh well such is life. Now on with working out

Hi Roseanne, welcome back! I am glad to hear that your hubby is supporting you now, that is great! Much better than trying to do it in secret I am sure.
Welcome to the contest! I am off to a poor start in it so far... LOL

If anyone was brave enough to see my before pics on my profile page well it ends up that I wasn?t 124lbs but 120 in those, so at 28.7% BF I have a measly 85.56lbs of LBM. Sad and hard for me to believe but pictures don?t lie. Well I can?t let that get me down so I?m trying to figure out a game plan with the diet and exercise. Unfortunately my gym membership ran out three months ago and instead of renewing it my husband suggested last week that we set up our own in the basement. I thought it was a great Idea because the kids could join in too. I will however start using the workout room at the rec center where I take my son for his judo twice a week in the evenings. Better to work out for one of the two hours that I have to wait otherwise my back side starts to hurt sitting that long.
Our In Home Gym so far:
An old weight bench with the big 45lb bar and rusted plates
A very old treadmill
A boxing stand, we bought last weekend it holds a large bag and a speed bag. I used it for the first time last night. I have to say it gets your heart rate going pretty darn fast with a few jabs and some round house kicks. (I am sure this would have been a comical site if anyone was unlucky enough to have seen it) My son loves it. My daughter is not impressed she is anxious for an elliptical.
An exercise ball, (a Christmas gift)
An Abb Lounge (another Christmas gift)
And of course my inversion table that hubby bought for me this Christmas
This weekend we went to check out something with a squat rack. We found one with a pull up bare and I actually did 2 hammer grip pull ups. We didn?t buy it yet want to look around a bit.
DIET - did pretty good this weekend kept the calories down today has been hard though
Will start logging every thing in fitday. I am going to try to keep fats down as
well as carbs. I know that that they do not spike your insulin but that calories are
still calories. See I did learn from you guys when I was chubby momma.
( If any one is taking or took an appetite / energy pill that you liked let me know)
Exercise - Don?t have a definite plan yet I know that I have to really work on my legs,
because they will do most of the fat burning, and if you saw in my picture,
my booty needs a lot of work. If I can turn that gelatinous mass into
muscle talk about serious calorie burning potential.

Hiya cm. We have an inversion table at home too. I bought one 2 yrs ago & we love it; had one 20 yrs ago that was made of more sturdy materials, but...that was then. If you want to add to you home gym, check the "sports & fitness equipment" ads in your paper every sunday; sometimes you'll find good-as-new stuff that people are almost giving away. Feb & March are especially good times because the Xmas presents are gathering dust by then. Running beside a kid to teach them to ride a bike? Good exercise, spoken by someone who has 1st hand experience.

Hi Roseanne. You know where I stand on the whole low carb/low fat thing... I think you need 'em both. At your height/weight, it's more about recomposition than weight loss.
Are you homeschooling this year? I finally got all my stuff. The only thing I am lacking is energy! Meanwhile, my oldest (15) started college last week through a special program we have here and yesterday she ended up teaching the algebra lab because the TA couldn't explain the concepts. So I guess homeschooling does work!
