Coffee in my veins.
I go in spurts. For a couple weeks you'll see my posts all over the place. Then I'll be quiet for sometimes months. Don't know why??? Usually I'm here to find out something and just use the search 'cuz so many new threads get started everyday. Other times I start at the beginning and read until my eyes hurt.

I read all the new posts twice a day. My post count shows I hardly ever post.
This post; however, is full of nothing of value.

Going for strong and lean
I started out as a lurker. I read the journals and sometimes injected some questions. I learned a lot by reading other journals and I finally started one of my own. Its been 3 years and I noticed a change over time. In my earlier journals I was asking questions and getting help from others. The more I described my issues the better help I got. The "attaboys" when I hit new personal bests kept me motivated.
I have noticed that as I gained experience others are learning from my journal. I get the usual "attaboys" but more often I get questions about my workout choices. I also read other journals and offer suggestions when I can help. I enjoy this interaction.

I spend time looking up answers to questions I may have and always find them in the search feature. I don’t think repeating the same question is good use of bandwidth.
I know a lot of people just like the camaraderie; I just can’t think of anything I would like to add. This post is a great example where I really had to think twice before even replying to it. lol

Obviously I'm a skim reader. I thought that said " I started out as lukamar".
I remember the first question I asked about a problem I was having with my elbow when I was trying to come back and was having problems. I got a ton of replies and by using a lot of them over time I was able to make decent gains while keeping under my pain threshold.
I probably would have not left retirement and gotten into the fitness business if it was not for the people on this forum. I discovered that I really enjoyed working with people to improve their health. I probably should have done it years ago. While I still have a way to go before I look the part of the buff and ripped trainer ..LOL.. my clients know I've been in the exact place they are now.
Often Lukamar your posts walk a fine line between sarcasm and humor, splashed with common sense and mastery of the obvious.

I post occasionally, but not every day, or even every week. I do check in several times a day, though...

I confess, Guilty as Charged!
Yep! That's me. I last posted in 2004 but I have perused this site several times per day ever since. Especially this forum. You regulars to the 35+ forum have no idea of how significant you have been in my life. You seem like friends to me. I miss you when I am gone for a few days. You have inspired me to no end and have motivated me to do something about my decaying physical condition. I read your posts and bodyblogs trying to get pointers. All I can say it THANK YOU for all the help you have been. I will try to write more often than once every 3 years. May even send in a picture and share my modest progress. You guys have done this 61 year old grandpa a great service. Thanks, MXL

Geeezz, how do you follow that post ??
Anyway I can think of a few people that post more and read less. But that's another thread. I contribute very little in knowledge to this forum because I'm old school and I'm really not up on the nutrition macro, micro, microbes, or whatever. I try to keep my posts lighthearted, and fun and have to be careful I don't hijack a thread by trying to bring a smile.
By the way Magnum, I'm a great grandpa.

I am a lurker! I read so much good info here that I am too busy trying to read everything and absorb it. I am one of those that listens alot but does not talk unless I have something to say.

I like to post once in a while in the old guys' section and in politics & religion. Usually though I like to read, esp when its a flame war going between the atheists and the religious guys.

All ya gotta do is share experiences you've actually had, share knowledge you actually know, and ask earnest questions and your input will be appreciated. Oh, and jokes are good too.
I used to post more often in this forum till I discovered journals and started my own. I need to get back here more often. There's good stuff here!

What got me hooked on the 35+ forum is bodyhard's interesting stories about "Mr Angry". I enjoyed reading everyones opinion on his threads.
