Calories in resteraunt meals

Everyone knows portion sizes/related calories- i.e 3-4 oz meat stack of cards, hand full of greens is a cup. But I added everything up on my plate and it was only about 350-400 calories, I was at very nice resteraunt. Then I realized everything is cooked in oil, or covered in some sort of sauce, or breaded, or maybe a fattier cut of meat then stuff at home. I eat out ALOT, maybe 5-7 times a week. At diners I can keep tabs on stuff because they have nutrition guides, but the meat always seems to be a bit bigger and a bit greasier then the nutritional guide will let on. How many calories can their cooking methods add?

The exact answer?

A massive ****load.

Check out P.F. Chang's nutrition data, as that's the only one I've checked out recently as I was going to go there to eat but, after viewing the incredible caloric content of their dishes, decided not to. I doubt other restaurants are much different, which is why I am the king of asking for a couple grilled chicken breasts while eating out.

I'm not talkin about PF changs, but more like Eat'n'Park where you get the nutritional guide. I usually order liver and onions and add 100-200 calories, haven't really gained weight and I eat there 4-8 times a week.

Smile Online info . . .

Major chain restaurants will have info online so u can compare & plan.

Among chain restaurants in my area where there seem 2 be a lot of healthy menu choices, I like Outback Steakhouse, Red Lobster, Olive Garden & Ruby Tuesdays.
