The "bench bar" is also known as a barbell and most full-length barbells (used for bench presses, etc) are 45 lbs.

He's right. At my gym there is also a shorter barbell. It's not an EZ Curl bar. It's a little longer than the EZ Curl, but it's as dense as a regular barbell, so it weighs 35 lbs.

the olympic one is 44 or 45lbs, and the one i have at home (dont know the name) is only 20 lbs. i know the olympic one gets wide at the ends where the weights go on, as my 20lb bar is the same width throughout the whole bar

My gym is pretty state of the art with brand new equipment and I've always thought the bench barbell was 25 lbs. and ez bar was 10.
They both feel real light. I dunno. I gotta check to see if its actually 25 or if its higher. If its higher, then my bench is 200+. yay

Bit stupid of me really but I never considered the amount the E-Z bar or bench bar weighed and never incorporated this into my lifts. Good news really my bench goes up 40lb
Set a goal and stick to it. Determination is everything.
