    Workout Per Week

    Is it possible to gain muscle doing a 6 exercise full body workout twice a week or is that really just maintenence?

    Full body workout should only be done 3 times a week. Maybe every other day but you will probably start to overtrain in a few weeks

    In most cases, yes.

    If you are a beginner you would likely gain more doing more frequency, so your growth may not be optimal, but likely yes.

    If you are really advanced, any growth you get past it being a deload will be minimal, and it will serve as maintenance.

    I don't think I'm advanced, only been working out for a year now. First 6 months were a 4 day split where I gained most of my weight. Last 6 months was the full body twice a week. Would it just be more beneficial to do pushups/situps/chinups every other day until I can workout 3 times a week?
