I go to Costco for most of my stuff, can't beat their prices on stuff like frozen chicken breasts, eggs, or wholewheat bread. Wal-mart is where I usually buy my tuna, 78 cents a can, way cheaper than costco. The thing is Costco has a small variety, and places with better variety such as Safeway, don't sell stuff in bulk, and it is also quite a bit more expensive.
An example is : Fat Free cottage cheese. Costco only carries 2%, and Safeway charges like $4 for a small container of fat-free. What stores sell healthy stuff in bulk?
I'm having trouble finding good sources of FF cottage cheese, unprocessed oats ( I buy Costco's big box of Quick Oats right now but apparently they're still processed a fair amount ), and that kinda stuff.
Maybe I just need to accept paying out the ass for the stuff I need, but if it isn't crucial, I'd rather not... Where do you guys buy your healthy food?

Sams Club / Local Grocery stores / Walmart.. if they dont got it.. ur pretty much out of luck
Im sure ur costco has Original Quaker Oats instead of the quick oats.. they come in a nice 9lb box 2 4.5 lb packers should be around 6 bucks or so.. you can get a ton of frozen veggies / fruits up there too.. which are great to have
also you could buy olive oil, almonds, and natty PB in serious stock up there great fat sources
im sure ur costco also has massive bags of brown rice and WW bread.. 3 complex carbs right there
and for protein i would get the chicken breasts, bags of tuna, and deli turkey if they have a good lean turkey at the deli which im sure they do.. and you can buy tons of eggs in tock or go for liquid egg whites/beaters those work great

Mostly Costco and Safeway, lots of fresh produce from ethnic groceries and street-side markets. I also use amazon.com groceries for bulk-sized healthy snacks.
IMO, the best way to shop is to find as few brands and products as possible which you REALLY like, and stick with those. It makes buying in bulk a lot easier and saves a ****load of money. I'm always disappointed when I see people going to albertsons and buying tiny-ass portions of deli meat, cheese, yogurt, etc, and having the total come out over $80 for less than three days worth of food.
Costco is great because their prices don't fluctuate, and their inventory is actually quite small (yet with high quality). Safeway, on the other hand, requires careful monitoring of the weekly adds, but there are kickass rebates on things like cereal, fruit, and granola.

I'm stuck with Wal-Mart and Kroger, damn small college town. I used to be a loyal Sam's customer, but the nearest one is 90 minutes away. Sometimes I'll stop by the BX on Ft. Leonard Wood on my way home from my parents, stuff on base is WAY cheap. I can find protein powders and supplements for about 1/2 the price of GNC at the commissary.
