    How Often Should I drink Green Tea?

    Hi everyone..

    I have been drinking Green Tea w/ splenda for the past month, but only drink it once a day and it is usually in the middle of the day. Should I be drinking it more often?

    I drink like 3 glasses per day w/splenda as well. If you want more green tea, you could always have more, or just take the caps for any additional requirements.

    man..I should I drink it more often. I'll try to drink it in between all my meals. I don't want to drink too late because of the caffeine.

    I think I read in men's health a couple of months ago that green tea doesn't stain teeth. They were talking about how tea can help prevent tooth decay, but someone was worried about staining there teeth. They recommended green tea because it doesn't have the staining properties like black tea does. So don't worry about it making your teeth yellow because it won't. But I would avoid drinking too much because I believe the silicates in tea can cause kidney stones. So no more that 2-3 cups a day is what I recommend.

    I drink about 2-3 cups a day, one in the morning when I wake up and two in the evening. I drink it for three reasons:
    1: It's high in antioxidants to prevent bowel cancer, etc.
    2: The polyphenols in green tea, specifically EGCG, have been shown to 'persuade' the body to burn some fat rather than just glucose during exercise
    3: It's satisfying in the evening, when I'm cutting calories to get ripped and my appetite is going haywire.

    I drink around 8 cups every day. Buy loose tea leaves, not tea bags, they're cheap as hell. I get a pound of green tea for a little over $5 (canadian) and it lasts a couple of months! You only need a tsp of leaves per cup - unlike the "dust" that tea bags contain, loose leaves expand like crazy when you add water so you don't need a whole lot.

    green tea shouldn't be drank any time near a protein meal because the tannins in the tea will bind to the protein from the meal and render both unusable, this is the reason you aren't supposed to put milk in the tea.
