i think you can justify the empty stomach theory since your actually using suppelemnts and not actual food
malto/dextro/wms
vs potatoes/bread/other carbs
all carb sources, but one is supplement and the other is food...
i would space it out however to let the absorbtion of the glucose settle in
i use wms instead of malto/dext
so i usually go like this
wms(malto/dexto in your case)
45 mins pre
no xplode (in my case wf/gm)
15 mins before i drive off to the gym
wms
immediately after work out + cell mass
30 mins post- protein
30 mins posterer (haha)
meal
