arms wont grow for last 8 months... stuck at 15''

My arms have seen 0 growth in the last 6 months (probably even more). The rest of my body has made satisfactory mass gains but my arms have been stuck at slightly above 15" forever. However, i have made fairly substantial strength gains in my arms. Over the last 8 weeks i went from 8 repping 45lb dumbells on concentrated curls to 8 repping 55lb dumbbells. Im thinking the volume is just insuffient for muscle gain.

My most recent programs have been a couple of cycles of 5x5 and a couple of cycles of hst (on my hst cycles i had 2 direct arm exercises for bi's and 2 arm exercises for tris).

5x5 is only arm training once a week.

Does anybody have any DIFFERENT programs that would really help. I am probably thinking of some kind of 4 day split maybe training arms 2x a week. Im not looking for some "special arm building routine" just something thats worked for others in adding muscle mass.

I am far from new to BB (about 2yrs serious commitment), and i have never been completely stuck with a single muscle group for so long, and it is really frusterating.

dude I have the same problem, but my are only 12.5 inch lool

I would change your routine, but especially you have to alternate the exercises for arm work so that the signal to grow never disappears...You can also read something about arms on this nice website http://www.Big-Arms.com

My arms started to grow when i was younger only after I cut down the frequency of my workouts and went heavy and hard.

    Example:

Biceps (once a week, by themselves)

    barbell curl....10, 8, 8, 6

    Dumbell curl....10, 8, 8

    Dumbell Hammer curl....8, 8, 6

    Triceps (once, by themselves)

    Skull Crushers (best EVER)....10, 8, 8, 6

Close grip bench (keep elbows in)....8, 8,6

    Rope or bar cable pushdowns....10, 8, 8

    Dips....One set max

REMEMBER...GO HARD and to failure...you will grow...and EAT!

Avatar Pic was from Oct 2008. Then gained some weight as all I do is WORK!

Started the 2013 Summer Cut in Decemeber. Was at 201 lbs after some nice gains....

    12/12/12: 201
    1/4/13: 197
    1/31/13: 192
    2/15/13: 188
    2/28/13: 185
    3/15/13: 182

    GOAL is 175 by 4/15/13....

Maybe that muscle group is use to the current routine. Try some new exercises. This might stimulate the muscle back into growth mode.

I try to keep my body guessing by alternating the work out on specific muscle groups. One week I will do certain exercises and the next week I will change it up.
