Xpel... does it really work and is it safe?

Does anyone know if Xpel, the rapid water-loss supplement really works and is it safe?

I was told by the company's sales rep that it should be taken for ten days prior to any event... has anyone tried this? And my last question is this... is there a rule of thumb to follow while taking it... like staying away from salt and sodium, or certain foods?
