Marcin Dolega just snatched 202.5!!!
Marcin Dolega just snatched 202.5kg at the control competition for the Polish national team leading up to next month's World Championships! He was a bit over 105kilos, but I expect him to do at least as well in Thailand as a 105. He is really an amazing lifter! Here is a report (in Polish, sorry):

Yeah that is awesome. The record he sets will probably stand until they change weight classes again.

I must've watched this video a dozen times by now.
How many gymrats does it take to screw in a light bulb?
Seven. One to screw in the bulb and six to say, "Bro, you're huge, man! Ripped!"

Ok, this guy is living proof text book form isn needed.
but you can see how far he jumped back, also look at his catc, it was close to falling.
Dont get me wrong.... I hate sounding like the inet guru, I can barely snatch half of that just saying it wasnt textbook, but freaking incredible and a record that will be very very hard to beat.
****... looks like the 105 records mite be a little harder then i thought.

Wat
Maybe it depends on which textbook you read?
A lot of top lifters have a jump backwards on snatch - the Bulgarians encouraged it as far as I know.

Ouch, that's unfortunate! Any particular reason, or was he just having a bad day?
Coming back after long lay-off due to combination of injuries and laziness!

I though that was retarded. He did 199kg in a competition before. I really looked forward to see him lift and he bombs out with a "small" weight for him. :' (
