    Will creatine make me faster?

I have trac creatine and it says it will give u good pumps. So can I take it before my track meet (im a sprinter) and will I improve? I run the 200 so its a pretty tiring sprint. (my legs die at the end).

Also I have animal pak and its supposed to give u energy. So would taking animal pak work?

creatine does not start working the day you take it. It usually takes 1-2 weeks to notice its effects. Being that you're doing a longer sprint, it probably wont have THAT much effect on your time. It may help a bit, but I wouldn't count on any huge differences.

As for animal pak, it's a multivitamin. Multivitamin's dont give you energy.

well i bet you'll at least get a placebo effect the first few times...try it at practice and see.

I'm no expert but from what I've read it seems that creatine will be beneficial to the short distance runner since it offers you more energy when it comes to short burst type events. For the long distance endurance athlete it is usually looked upon as less useful because for them it is just extra unwanted bulk. However, for you it might be helpful to take as a supplement. I'm not sure if taking it pre event would really give you that much of a pump but many take it preworkout and swear by the energy boost it gives them so i guess theres no harm in trying. Just don't test that out for the first time at the state championships incase it doesn't help.

There ARE tests done in swimming or something that showed that the people with creatine actually swam faster. I think its been done in track as well.

But then again this was a long time ago when I heard this

You should definitely give Body Octane a try to help delay the onset of fatigue and increase endurance. I think it may be possible that creatine could help you during a short sprint also. If you try it, you should definitely go with a CEE product because of the lack of water retention. You want to be as light as possible during the sprint and increased water retention could slow you down.

Cramps from the creatine or stomach cramps? If you mean stomach cramps then yes CEE is better absorbed and shouldn't give people too much trouble. I'm assuming you meant that, however all creatines can cause muscle cramps. I dont want to leave fabzmm confused b/c your post wasnt too clear (no offense).
