For a very simple paint job, it shouldn't cost more than 1000. They can go as high as 5000 though.

It depends on if there is a Macco near you, if you do the sanding and primer your self you can get it sprayed for very very cheap, like less than 400

There is way less labor and prep work involved with a Maaco paintjob, so they're basically selling you the paint.

I had my old car painted a few years ago after a garage accidentally sprayed brake fluid on it. The cost was $2800 for repaint (original factory paint) with clear coat. The car was a 535i (mid-sized sedan). Painting was done by a professional auto-body shop with all handles, windshield, emblems, etc, removed and included all the interior jambs, etc.

    Hope that helps.

maaco paint job probably around 400 dollars but the quality is fukn horrible. The paint will start to chip after a mnth. They also don't paint the inside, they don't take out the engine and everything else so your old paint will still stay on some parts of the car

A legitimate paintjob cost thousands of dollars

Sounds about right for an OEM paint job give or take a few hundred.

You CAN get a decent on for 500-700 I have a 500 dollar one that lasted about.... 5 years until it started flaking, until then people actually complimented my paint job (ignorant fools)

Bigger car= More paint = More money...

Also depends on how many coats of clear you want..

A friend of mine kind his Tahoe painted black for about 700-800 and it looked really nice....

Mind you black paint jobs are a bitch when they are done well because black paint shows spirals from washing with rough cloth even, so a cheap black paint job would be my last choice.

Get it primer, so it looks savage.

The local vocational-technical high schools sometimes offer painting to consumers in order to teach the students how to paint. Sort of an in-class training thing. I bought a car that had been painted by a school.
