    Acne from weightlifting

    One of my buddys who has been lifting for about 3 years told me that when a muscle is getting bigger it is common for some acne on that affected area, Ive started squatting recently and noticed zits on my thighs and ive also been hitting my chest and abs harder and am braking out there too

    so is there any truth behind this?

    not something ive experienced but i dont know any of the science behind it so it mite be something that effects certain people

    i wouldn't think so. i'd think that the excessive sweating and the increased testosterone levels would contribute to the ack-knee

    Sometimes acne can be caused by a buildup of dirt.. so i guess if your sweating repeatedly on that area and not cleaning it then maybe.. but i doubt that this is the case. Acne does not just form this sort of activity. It could be just normal acne from hormones and what not.

    Sweat pimples. I get them on my legs during sports that I sweat a lot. Also my back sometimes. no acne though. Just big pimples.
