Prep Question for my BF

My boyfriend and I are both currently prepping for a May 14th show together. His stats are 5'10, 205lbs at about 8% BF. He last stepped on stage at 195lbs placing 2nd in the Light Heavy's. Reason for not placing 1st - he did not get his legs dialed in correctly. Does anyone here have suggestions on how to do that...10 weeks out now. This is us at the last show. I had the same critiquing as well...my legs too have to be more defined.

He currently does his own diet - 50% P, 30%, 20% @ 2600Cals a day. Do you guys think that these macros are effective or do you think his calories too low?

I have the same problem...

I believe its genetic that some people hold more fat in the glutes and hams area. I can get my upper body ripped much quicker than my lower. My legs come in the last 4-6 weeks...well after my upper body stops changing. My first show I did I just watched my abs, they looked good. Afterwards I saw the pics of my legs and they were terrible. So now I base my progress totally on my legs. I have been dieting this year for 11 weeks now and my legs just starting getting deep grooves at week 9, my upper body is great...paper thin on chest, shoulders, back is striated. So it could be genetic becuase Im training legs harder than ever ( 30-36sets ) in 50 minutes to exhuastion and they still take the longest to come in. Good luck!

it could be a genetic problem. i have a terrible shape for my biceps but my legs kick ass. getting ready for a show, ill do a lot of cardio on the bike or stairmaster. i believe that these cardio activities bring out all the parts of the quadricep nicely as well as providing striations. diet looks pretty good to me, hes a little low on carbs. he shouldnt have to go that low til about 1-2 weeks out while carb depleting but i guess its up to him. good luck in the next show.
