my mom made some cracked wheat today and it tastes 1000x better thten oatmeal. i checked the nutritional label and it has 70g of carbs(12g fiber) for only 1/4 a cup serving. the only ingredient is durum wheat or something. is this a good substitute for oatmeal? i find it much easier and faster to eat then oatmeal.

The only differences I could see is that Durem wheat has a higher GI but thats about eat. Personally its your choice because both are great for you. I dont see how you dont like oatmeal though!
