jogging shoes fitted
Im going to get some new shoes sometime in the near future,
what kind of things do I need? I'm going to a specialist jogging shop, and intend to buy a pair in there in the same visit so want to go there with all the information I need.
just asking generally what to expect and how to get the most out of some professionals while I am there,
thanks

The people there should be able to look at your feet and help you out. There are so many types of shoes, but generally you should know whether you want a light shoe (which will wear out way quicker) or a heavier sturdier shoe. The main difference in the shoes is cushioning and design. Cushioning you will be able to feel just walking around the store, you should be able to feel some bounce which will help you keep stride, but not too much bounce because this will cause you to lose the correct form. It also matter whether you are a overpronator, neutral, or an underpronater. These are different way that you naturally roll your foot as you run. I am a severe overpronater so I have shoes for that. Personally I suggest Aisics for running shoes. Their not the lightest, but they last a while and have great bounce, they are also available in many widths so you can get a great fit. This is breif on a very complicated topic, so please respond with anymore questions.

What you have to do is start off buying just your average pair of running shoes from any outlet and then wear them in good you then take them to the specialist and they will look at the shoe and were most of the wear is and they will get a shoe perfect for you. I am in the current process of doing so i just need to wear my shoe some more.

New balance makes fantastic shoes in all widths. I always loved using Mizuno shoes.

if you are going to be doing alot of running you should consider your gate (the way your foot hits the ground)
if you are a pronator , youll want a barefoot style shoe , ie a nike free
if you are a supernator you need more cusihion on the outer edge to keep your foot from rolling out too much
since your ankle has so much effect on your knee , it makes sense that if your foot hits the ground wrong it would negitivly effect your knee
i have alot of clients who are runners . who cant run anymore
