Overe here in Afghanistan atm. Just got out of the Army recently but took a contracting job out here. Good to see everyone that still finds time to stay in shape while serving and being deployed.

Pt
Ive been having trouble with organized pt. for the last year I've been bbing and doing pt every day except the weekends. I'm finding that if I do pt in the am I don't get a good gym time later. And if I skip the gym I can't get enough of a workout during pt, because it's organized and usually not for bodybuilding. Anyone have any suggestions on either being able to do both pt and workout so I can reach my goals, or know of a way to get out of pt so when I go to the gym I can give it my all? Any help would be great. Thanks

How are you grunts getting so big with the poor nutrition they serve you, the amount of cardio, ruck runs and hikes? It's pretty amazing!

Eat a lot of food and constantly sweat while were deployed. Lots of missions as well. Then you got lifting hard in there as well

Yeah i know what you mean, im not BBing but i try an get into the gym 4 times during the working week, Humm a BBing rugby player? lol I guess one option is you could see the PTIs for a different training programme, a guy in my unit did an he got 6 months off org PT. only condition was he had to pass fitness test before and after. the only other suggestion i can give is get more sleep in, look into a nutrition plan, obviously its different to your standard intake with your increased workouts, crank your ipod up when your at the gym!! I was in that situation for a while. I found Wendler's 5/3/1 was pretty good because you can customize it to fit your needs. I usually did either a 2 or 3 day split when there was a lot of PT going on I'd do 2 day / week and 3 / week when it wasn't as bad.

I'm lucky enough now to only have to do my PT on my own now though.
