    Bulking Diets

I just recently hit the big 35. I had always looked for good advice. I most often found the best advice in Flex magazine. I'm figuring on most of You bieng further along in Your bodybuilding than I am. I am into My end of my second of what I call quarters equaling ten years. If I confuse any of You hopefully You are not so bold as to tell Me as the Young ones are.
Anyways My first post is a macronutrient ratio calculator I've aquired over the last 8 years. Does it look authentic?
    This is a 25/25/50 diet.
    I'm 185lbs
    use this calculation:
body weight X body weight factor=2960 x weight gain factor =3552
    body weight-185
    body weight factor-16
    caloric intake-2960
    weight gain factor-1.2
    calories to gain weight-3552

    macronutrients:
take calories to gain X that by Your ratios= how many cal of what You will need to gain weight.
    3552 X .25 = 888 cal of protien devide by 4 = 222 g's of protien
    3552 X .25 = 888 cal of fat devide by 9 = 98 g's of fat
    3552 X .50= 1776 of carbs devide 4 = 444 g's of carbs

    the macronutrient calculations are:
protien is devided by 4 fat by 9 and carbs by 4.

25P/50C/25F is a ratio more suited to an endurance athlete than a bodybuilder, but in the end it's what works for you.
Often Lukamar your posts walk a fine line between sarcasm and humor, splashed with common sense and mastery of the obvious.

For bulking? more like 40-50p/30-40c/10-20f If you wanted to do a lean bulk you could cut the carbs even more and add more healthy fats, which have anabolic properties by the way. Eitehr way you need lots of lean protein to bulk so your body can do some serious protein synthesis!

    Good Luck,
