    calories/fat calories?

are calories and fat calories two different things? Say there is 30 calories in something, and 10 fat calories, does that mean there is a total of 40 calories? Or, 10 of the 30 calories are from fat? I dont get it!!

A calorie is a calorie, it just letting you know 10 calories of the 30 come from fat. Meaning there is 1 gram of fat in that food.
    1 gram of fat=9 calories
    1 gram of protien=4 calories
    1 gram of carbs=4 calories

    Hope that helps some
