Could you look at a shoulder diagram on google images and try and locate the area of pain?

There are a number of reasons for shoulder injury. The most common are:

bad exercises (behind the neck presses or upright rows)
    too much weight
bad form (especially on bench press)

    http://www.stoneclinic.com/shoulder.htm

With popping it sounds like a dislocation of some sort.. the shoulder is a complex body part but people continue to mess with theirs in very bad ways.

Does that mean the front of the shoulder? Where the bicep attaches? Could be a couple things.

Bicep tendonitis - If you are still working out and it's not getting better then it doesn't have a chance to heal. This can cause popping and impingement.

Labram tear (slap tear) - bicep is involved again, but cartilage is torn in the shoulder. Can cause a lot of fatigue and tiredness

Rotator cuff tear - Maybe but we need more info.

What exercises does it hurt? Does it hurt all the time?
