Exclamation Tearing type pain in quad

hey there, when squatting i get this like tearing pain in my right quad, it happens as soon as i go past the 90 degree mark and continues till i stop going down and come back up past the 90 mark, it almost feels like the muscle fibres are sperating or something>? Feeling comes from directly above the knee in the V shape part of the quad, there is no pain between sets or after sets can run and stuff without any problem, just seems to be upset on the squats, i really dont want to drop them out of my program as otherwise i enjoy doing them, should i be worried?
Many thanks in advance for replies.
