hi there

Well I am new to this fourm and it looks really promising to help me finally get motivated. I have a decent gym membership, and I have gone and quit over and over. I was about 280 a few months ago, but I havent worked out in 3 months.

Basically I am looking for some advice building a workout plan.

I used to do

I am 5'11 260.

Well I don't want to be a small guy obviously I never will. I want to bulk up, and build cardiovascular strength. Eventually Id like to work on the defintion, but for now just build strength and reduce fat.

Rippetoe's workout is a real popular one on this site. IMO Max-OT is best for improving on strength and physique. Max-OT workouts are generally short and sweet, which leaves some extra time/energy for HIIT (A real effective way to burn extra fat). But first and foremost read my sig. Hope this helps.

so basically right now, you want to increase your strength while reducing fat. Here's what you can do. Lift with high intensity and low volume. Something like 5x5 or 10x3 and stay on caloric deficit to shed some fat. You can also look up Anabolic Diet if you want a diet to stick to.
