Cardio and weight lifting on same day
I get up at 5:30am, go to the gym for cardio (45 min), I use the eliptical machine and stair climber.
At lunch (11:00am-12pm), I lift weights.
So basically,
6am - workout/cardio
730 am - eat - eggs, oatmeal, banana, 2 salmon oils, 1 mega man sport vitamin
10am - eat - tuna and protein shake
11am - workout (lift weights)
12pm - take muscle milk
1pm - eat - tuna or chicken w/vegetables, 2 salmon oils, 1 mm sport vitamin
4pm - take ON protein shake
7pm - eat - something nutritious that the wife makes (usually chicken for me or a tuna helper meal)
9pm - take muscle milk
10pm - SLEEP!
My goal is cutting for right now. Will lifting/cardio on the same day bring negative results?

i swear i tried everything u can imagine and at the end its up to the person reaction to that certain workout. i used to do my cardio always after my weight session and did great. then changed that to doing my cardio early in the morning and my weighlifting in the evening, had also great results. in my opinion try to make ur cardio always after weight lifting if u dont have to do it at any other time in the day, and if u do well do ur cardio in the morning and ur lifting in the evening.

it should be fine. It's one thing when you do cardio 30 minutes before lifting, but its also another thing when you do cardio in the morning, eat replenishing food and hit the weights a few hours later. looks good to me. and for the record, up until 4 - 5 months ago I always did cardio before lifting and I feel it worked better for me to keep the fat off. But...it was hard for me to gain LBM.

"they" say you should put 6 hrs between your workouts.
if you do cardio @6am dont lift until after 1pm.

bb.com articles say 8hrs...
But at the end of the day, it depends how fast your body re-coups and how you feel during the workout.
Intense caffine and high carb-protein meal pre workout always worked great for me.

Trying to do cardio after a weights session is simple, a matter of pushing yourself through motivation and tiredness/lack of energy.
Trying to push weights whilst tired from cardio is frustrating and ineffective as you will be pushing less/lower weights. Which is even more frustrating, and poor workouts are lame.
Hence the 6-8 hour break if you do cardio in the morning, so you can replenish and refresh!
That's my take on it all, i still do cardio in the mornings usually, but like i said, dumps of caffine and a high carb + protein meal before my weights.

Kind of off subject but what flavor do you use (musclemilk)? I had banana creme it was great, now i had to get strawberry banana and it tastes like hell =[.
