Board Presses
I'm looking to incorporate board presses into my routine...for those of you who do them...should I be using a 4-inch board? 6 inch board?
Also, what kind of sets/reps shoudl I be doing for strength gains?

wheres your sticking point?
the idea for boards is to work through your sticking point.....if you stall at the chest, then do full ROM, stall halfway used 6 inch, stall at the lockout then do some lockouts
for strength gains i'd assume maybe 4x3

I do a lot of board work before a bench Comp. What I find works best is
Week 1: 5 board
Week 2: 4 board
Week 3: 3 board
Week 4 :2 board
As far as reps go I typically like to start low like so it looks something like:
weight x 5
weight+30lbs x 3
Max x2
Over Max x 2
Back to weight x 5

I usually do 3 and 4 boards for reps of three.....that is really helping me with my sticking point...especially the 4 board.

I would definitely say my sticking point is the middle 2/3 of the lift. Off the chest has never been a problem...I like the idea of velcroing the boards together...never would have thought of that one....
I'm board pressing with my little bro tomorrow...my regular max is about 380 ..on average how much more/less can you board press compared to regular bench press?

Raw Benching: 2 and 3 Boards
Shirted Benching: 2,3, and 4 Boards
Anything above a 4 Board renders my alligator arms useless...

Under the shirt is good. Or you could wrap an old knee wrap or band around you to keep it in place.

an easy way to create sturdy boards (also the best way to do tricep death)
take 1 1 foot long 2x4 and 2 ten inch long 2x4s and screw them together using large wood screws. Then get 2 more 1 foot long 2x 4s.
The 1 foot one goes on top when you screw them together so that it creates a small handle so that the boards are easily maneuverable and the person holding them doesn't fear you crushing their hand. The free boards you can do 1 and 2 board presses off easily and you can add them to the three board stack to do 4 and 5 board presses.
Generally off of 3 board I can do about 115% of my 1RM. Off of 4 board 125% and off of 5 board 135%. Not sure about two boards though, haven't tried those in a long time, and I don't have a problem immediately off the chest so I don't do 1 board presses.
And tricep death is a close grip board press starting at 5 boardsx10 reps, immediately remove the top board and do 10 reps at 4 boards, then remove that and do 10 reps at 3 boards, and then add one board back and do 10 reps and add the last board and do 10 reps.

If you are shirted you dont even need to use a 2 board....at least for me the shirt takes care of anything under a 3.
