You can loose fat and gain muscle at the same time.

    Hi.

Ok, today I got dunked again. When I started Nov 1st 2004 I was 268lbs with a LBM of 165lbs (holy christ). Today, I am 219lbs with a LBM of 178lbs. This, is at least what they told me. I guess they figure it out by your weight in water vs the scale vs bf %? My trainer said it was proof you can build muscle while loosing fat. I guess the logic is that the weight loss was water and fat, maybe some muscle here and there, but overall, my LBM has gone up over 3.5 months. Yeah!

    End of debate.

i find it impossible to lose fat and gain muscle at the same time unless you are new to weight training. did you work out before you got tested the 1st time? if so, thats impressive.

Have you perchance posted your diet and workouts? It would be interesting to see what you did to get there.

When I first started lifting... about 8 months ago or so, I had manboobs (still do, but WAY smaller) but no muscle under it.

I lost weight, moobs got smaller, and also I could flex my chest, making my pecs go up and down.

Easiest way to find out that, you CAN lose weight, gain muscle

it is possible to gain muscle and lose fat at the same time. im doing it right now. ive gained strength, lean muscle mass and lost fat at the same time. dont lose fat as fast as you would on a cut routine. but it is possible. about 1lb of muscle a week and .5 lb of fat loss a week. if u implement cardio and stay on a high protein diet..along with other supps just do your research...anything is possible
You call it obsession, I call it passion.

I am on a clean bulk, eating a little bit over mantainance (+300-500 kcals), doing a 3-day split that focuses more on strength and doing HIIT sessions on 2 off-days.
