Hello,
I dont understand how the heck you guys can take in the proper amounts of protein everyday. I try and try but I have bad days when I know I dont get enough. What is the secret. I need to add that I am horribly busy. I work two jobs and in between jobs is the time when I go to the gym. So I have a heck of a time taking in the protein I need to consume. Give me some good ideas so I can get the protein I need. Thanks in advance!

Ok
My life style doesnt allow for eating properly and it is driving me nuts. Is it ok to get most of my protein from shakes? I am lucky if I get 2 meals a day.

The Basics:
Costco Membership - 10lb bags of frozen boneless chicken breasts on hand at all times.
4 scoops of protein (or more) daily
Organic Milk (no estrogens for me!)
Jar of peanuts on my desk at work at all times
Peanut butter
Its not that hard really, 300g of protein is only 1200 calories...and If you drink 100g's of it, that leaves plenty of time and room for a lot of real food. The Dark Knight...Rises.

During the upcoming school year I will be swamped with classes (18 credit hours alone from classes), studying, work, and working out. The key for me will be premaking a couple meals the night before and taking them with me and bringing two baggies with 50-60g protein powder each. I already got my diet and timing laid out lol:
6:30AM: 4 whole eggs, 2 slices fat free cheese, 4oz of 95% lean beef / 1 cup cooked oatmeal
7:30AM: off to class / 24g protein shake on the way out
9:30AM: a 25 minute break between my morning classes / 24g protein shake
10:45AM: Head to campus gym / Lift
12PM: postworkout time / 50-60g whey protein along with creatine + dextrose / head to library to read
1PM: Eat my ready meal - 8-10 oz skinless chicken mixed with brown rice
2:30PM: Class
3:10PM: All done with classes
3:30PM: Tuna + Mac and Cheese (oh yea)
5:00PM: Work...
7:00PM: Done (2 hr shifts in college are great, can stack em too) - another 50g whey protein / begin studying
9:00PM: Cottage cheese + wheat thins
11:00PM: Protein blend
11:30PM: Sleeeeeeeep
Soo yeah...can't wait for thatIU Hoosier

Dedicate yourself to the kitchen like you dedicate yourself to the gym. It pays off trust me. It's a major pain in the ass I'll admit, but I really always try to eat a meal every 2 1/2 hours. Between work and school year round I'm always on the go, so on Sundays which are my relaxation days I spend probably 2-3 hours in the kitchen cooking and preparing meals for the week so I have them on the go when I'm out and about it. It's a hassle as I'm sure most of us know but eating consistently every 2-3 hours really pays off in the long run as I'm sure most of us know who do it. Hope this helped.

Thanks all!
I will take it to heart, I like what was said work as hard in the kitchen as I do in the gym. I pound the weights and I never hit the kitchen. I will try to premake my meals. Maybe I can do a better job that way. Thanks everyone that posted. It was helpful!

Im in your same situation, It took a week or so to get used to it but now in the morning I crave the Shake. Throw in 4 scoops and Im off to work (110 grams Pro Complex). Take 3 scoops to work , buy a milk chug, theres another 86 grams. For dinner I try to actually eat chicken and wash it down with another small shake. I drive all day so I dont bring a bunch of food with me. I used to munch on peanuts and almonds all day, but that makes me poop like crazy all day, so I cut those back.

I'm 275lbs approx. and I eat somewhere around 4 cans of tuna per day, 2 Whey Shakes (Lean Body RTD's), a morning and post workout wheybolic extreme shake (thats 120g right there), and then some Syntha 6 before bed. That gets me pretty close to my protein goals. But to me canned tuna and chicken breast are an easy protein source.
Quit complaining and lift!

Mix it up.
I take 1 40 gram shake first thing in the morining, and then munch down 2 protien bars during the day. usually stick with eggs, chicken, tuna , lean beef for meals, and then finish the day off with another 40 g this time casien protien shake before bed
If it wasnt for pain I would never know i was alive!

At first it seems pretty challenging, but if you're eating 6 meals a day, and each meal contains around 35g protein, that's 210g of protein daily.
Even simple things like drinking 10oz skim milk instead of water with 2-3 of your six meals will add 20-30g protein.
However, if you're only eating twice a day then it would be downright difficult to get your daily bodybuilding requirement.
