Angry I need serious advice with my acne please, if ya have any

I really do need real serious advice i think it is on the Acne front. I really would like it to go away. If you've seen my pictures you will notice that i still have acne. I've been seeing a dermotologist but i recently stopped seeing him b/c i have heard a bunch of bad things about AccuTane.

Which comes down to why i need the acne advice....

Because i have been thinking about modeling lately. First thing i need to do is, which is not that bad, is to cut down to 167-168 which i have been doing lately. Already have cut from 176 to 173.5 Second thing is to lose the acne, which is what seems to be a more challenging task

All I do is splash my face 20 times with luke warm water when I get up and when I go to bed. Works for me. If your face gets dreid out after doing so get some face cream.

Hate to break it to you, but Accutane is the only thing that works. I've had acne since 7th grade and have tried everything in the book...pills, creams, washes, pads, ect... Some things will help a little, but if you want actual, true results, you NEED accutane. I have like 20 days left and good god my skin looks teriffic. It's amazing dude. All the **** you hear about "You will commit sucide, and you will get depressed" is bull. If it's that important to be clear, do whatever you can. Out of the millions of people who have done accutane only a few have gotten depressed. Are you kidding me?! Go for it man.

I really have heard bad things about AccuTane. Dr. David Graham cited AccuTane as having some problems that Vioxx had as well. This really scared me badly when i heard about this earlier in the fall

I know this is going to sound geeky but this is some of what he said. It is very scary.

    http://energycommerce.house.gov/107/...55/hearing.htm

Memo 12 reads....... "Memo by Dr. Graham suggesting that Accutane be withdrawn from the market immediately" if you read it, it's very worrysome

look into smoothbeam treatment. it's a six month treatment. you go once a month and they basically zap your face with a laser. They give you numbing cream and this really works without side affects of pills creams or anyhting like that.

    That is absolutely not true.

zonties, I have not seen your pictures so I don't know the severity of your acne, but if it is not an extreme case, your dermatalogist can give you something other than accutane.

If you do have an extreme case, I would rethink your position. If it ends up being that you take accutane, your dermatalogist will be keeping close tabs on you to make sure your dosage is right, minimizing the side effects.

Try drinking apple cidar vinegar regulates ur PH. Tastes bad...
Splash apple cider vinegar on your face(make sure its completely pure apple cidar vinegar or its useless) Dilute it the first couple times or you will BURNN.

At night, benzoyl peroxide 10% works too, once it dries up on your face rub in some good non comedogenic lotion.
Salyic acid wash is good once in a while too.
The key is not to do too much, or you will aggravate your acne even more. 10% BP is pretty strong stuff.

If you have cystic acne though this isn't any help ur only choice is accutane and it may even worsen symptoms if not taken properly.

If ur skin is oily you can get differin gel prescribde by a doctor, gets rid of the real small oily pimples.

I've never had bad acne at all so I can't really help u out but use what you can if you have minor acne. I'm 98% clear everywhere now.

I don't see that as extreme at all, maybe your face has some more though. I think you can get away with some good topical ointment from your dermatalogist.

I've used Proactive and clearasil. Proactive was the most effective, but now i just started using Phisoderm. The stuff works great on back acne. I would really reccommend giving it a try. I think it works better than proactive.

www.acne.org I'd have to say that's the best site ever that's devoted to acne. it has a step by step "regimen" that involves using 2.5% benzoyl peroxide gel. ive been on it for about a month and the first week or so really sucks cause your face gets a little red but as of now it has returned to normal color and am about 98% clear; im sure in another week or so ill be completely clear.

im serious people... ive gained a lot of muscle through bodybuilding and it has helped my confidence but doesn't even come close to riding my face of acne...

Accutane is fine for most people. I had fairly bad acne and took ti. Yes there are some ****ty sides, but the good thing is that with some people their acne is completely cleared withing using accutane for a month (you will still have to be on it for like 5 months though). Drink s ****load of water and get fish oil (somethign i wish i had done). Suicide/depression was never an issue for me when i was on it and it probably wont be for you either. Ask your doctor abotu it i really reccomend at least doing some research ebfore ruling out Accutane. People claim ti stunts your growth but i have never seen any proof of it. I think i was fully grown when i started taking it anyways.

Let me rephrase. Accutane is the only thing that has worked for me after searching for something for 3 years.

Zoonties, like I said before, I've tried everything in the book. I had back acne, and chest acne, and facial acne. I'm not completely through my cycle yet, but it's really clearing up and I'm positive that when I am off the cycle, I will be clear. So many people have taken Accutane man. Just take the risk. If you feel suicidal, then you will go off it.

Just rethink it here. You are freaking out about Accutane. You have read bad stuff about it from ONE doctor. It's like reading that creatine will destroy your kidneys and liver, so you freak out and decide not to take it. Really, creatine's not gonna do anything. It's the same with Accutane...

I hope you get the comparison.

    Acne Problem

I had this same problem for a long time. I dont know if you have been using creams and what not, but I did for several years and nothing seemed to work. But I was scared to use accutane because I was looking it up on the internet and there is all these warning of side effects that can happen to you. And also my doctor said it was the last defence for acne. But I finally decided to start using it and it was amazing. It works from day one and your face becomes dry. The only side effect I got was chapped lips and dry skin, which is a pretty fair trade for clear skin. I recommend Accutane if you have tried everything else and nothing works.
