    Left arm bigger than right!

Ive noticed a difference in size in my left arm compared to the right (bicep/tricep) over the past month and a half...I never noticed this difference before.

So now working out biceps my left is a bit bigger but thats fine, the difference isnt too great.

But working out my triceps...its like my right tricep isnt doing any work. My left tricep becomes full and has my skin stretched almost to its limit. My right? Looks like I did a light workout. This is after doing things that require both arms like tricep press downs (triangle attachment), tricep dumbell extensions, and close grip skull crushers.

Since I became conscience of this I started trying to focus more on the right triceps doing the work. No results.

Its not even so much that the left is growing faster, which it seems to be. Its like my left is just taking over during the workout and leaving nothing for the right. The fullness and fatigue in the right tricep is truly minimal compared to the left. Dosnt make sence...im even right handed.

Dont know if anyone has similar experiences but i'd like to know. Mayby theres an easy way to correct this.

I have the same problem sometimes. Whenever I do cable press downs I will put my head to the left of the cable and therefore my left tricep does more work because of that. I have to remind myself to keep my head in the middle. Anyway, try to pre exhaust your right tricep before starting your workout. Also try and stretch and keep the blood flowing in the right tricep between sets.

my left arm is diferent shape than my right arm but i think its about the same size, but what u should do is work out the muscle individually, like left arm first than right arm so one arm isnt doing all the work

    Are their strength differences?
Bodybuilding is 60% training and 50% diet. Yes that adds up to 110%, because that's what you should be giving it. Change the inside, and the physique will follow.

Are you left-handed? If so that's normal and good if not then you must be doing a little extra work for the left arm in hopes of getting in proportion with the right [and overkilled it]

Yeah my left arms seems to be a bit stronger anyway.

If anything when i'm doing press downs my head would be going to the right. I usually do them where the mirror is to the right of me, and like i said ive been focusing on the right anyway.

I'm not really keen on individual dumbbell exercises. Never had any results from them.

Its quite frustrating as you'd naturally want both to be the size of the bigger arm. Bah I dont know. I'll just talk to people with my left arm foward for the rest of my life

Hey man I have the SAME exact problem! Both my left tri and bi are bigger and very noticeable from the front! I am "RIGHT HANDED" and have no idea why my left arm is way bigger than my right! I feel like I have better blood flow on the left side throughout the day! I have no idea why this is! I have been working out my right arm extra for a while and have been on dumbbells for the last 4-5 weeks and no difference! Like I said I am using dumbbells for example, when I am doing regular standing curls I find myself struggling on the right side but I am still able to do the same wait for the most part so why in the hell wouldn't my right arm catch up as well as me adding extra sets and fast movements to get the blood pumping better. Throughout the day I feel my heart beat in my left arm if I am leaning on it or something I mean my arm looks fool the whole day and even bigger in the gym, but my right side just looks like a "cold" arm that is just hanging there... NEED HELP! Oh and when you sad "I will stand with my left arm forward for the rest of my life" I couldn't help but laugh out loud! lol That is ****ing funny but dude I am exactly in the same boat and I would do anything to get my right looking like my left!

I have the same exact problem here too. I'm right handed and my left arm is the dominant arm in my workouts, especially for my triceps. On top of my left arm looking bigger than my right arm, my strength of my left tricep is significantly stronger than my right tricep. I can lift exactly 7x more weight on my left arm doing tricep overhead extensions (holding a dumbell in one hand behind my head and lifting up) than my right arm.

I have considered going to a doctor about this, but I have a feeling the only advice I am going to get is the same I've heard on forums across the web - which is mainly to do more sets/reps on my weaker arm until it catches up in strength and size. The problem is my weaker tricep (right arm) doesn't seem to be getting any stronger after concentrating on it for over half a year. Is it possible that it is stunned growth issue?

A little background about me. I'm a perfectly healthy 25 year old male. I'm not on any prescribed medication, don't smoke, don't do drugs. I've been playing tennis since the age of 10. I believe my condition developed from playing tennis, but I'm not sure.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

it happens my left arm has more tone to it then the left. if your left handed that could be the reason.

My boyfriend had this problem, I just asked him and he said he fixed it by more sets on his left arm and by flexing it more outside of the gym.

When doing a front double bicep pose, in particular, my left arm is a half-inch bigger around, and my left side is significantly stronger in bicep related movements such as bent-over dumbbell rows. However, my right side, again in the FDB pose, is more defined and has a better peak. Ideally, I'd like to get the definition on my right, and the size/strength on my left, as an equal result for both sides, of course.
