How do these people do it and still get big while taking roids. I mean like Arnold went high volume while Dorian on roids goes low and still makes awesome gains. My friend is on sustenol and is working out low intensity. Should he be working our HIT with alot of volume to reap the benefits of the steroid.

Just as no two snowflakes are alike (okay, ghey analogy), no two guys will respond exactly the same way to the same training protocol. With Yates and Coleman, both of them had outstanding genetics, and of course, both were juicing up the yin-yang.
Yates used fairly low-volume; Coleman used medium/high volume, and both grew, which just goes to show that great genes AND steroids make a body big. Look around the gyms; lots of guys use juice, yet they'll never get as big as either one of those guys, in spite of their drug usage. You gotta have the genes to get big, and have the mindset to take it to the limit, which is exactly what they did.
Intensity, volume, and frequency are the most difficult to predict for anyone, and it also comes down to doing what you're most comfortable with. If Coleman had been forced to use low volume and high-intensity as Yates did, he'd probably have given up. Same deal with Yates; he didn't care for medium to high volume, and if that had been the only way to train, he'd probably have packed it in and quit.
That's why it's so important to analyze closely what works best for you. For the raw beginner, it's best to stick to a tried-and-true programme and once you learn what's best for you, then it doesn't matter what some expert may say. Do what works for you and you alone.
