green tea contains tons of antioxidants which are very good for you.. so it does a lot of good for your body... it is also a diuretic which should help you lose weight

It most definitely is: http://www.bmj.com/cgi/content/abstract/310/6981/693. To quote the researchers, "the inverse association between consumption of green tea and various serum markers shows that green tea may act protectively against cardiovascular disease and disorders of the liver."

Green Tea is beneficial in SO many different ways. I tell all my clients to drink water and green tea like they're going out of style.

If it's unsweetened, then great; if sweetened, reduce your sugar intake as you'll be on the way to diabetes.

And. . . It's GOOD!
You can drink green tea in the gallons if you want. The antioxidents and tea extract will aid your body slightly. If your looking for the tea to help you lose weight then try green tea extract straight up. You would have to drink A LOT of tea to use it as a metabolism booster in any way and even then it wouldn't make a huge differance. It's good for you so don't worry. You liver will be fine.

There are cases of EGCG being hepatotoxic, but you won't likely get to that dose drinking it.
