How much weight should I be gaining?

I'm bulking again, but I figured I'd take it a little slower pace, but it doesn't seem as though my body feels the same way. I went from eating around 2,000 calories daily on my cut and now I'm at 2,900 a day. Now the problem is when I weight myself in the morning I'm consistently .5lbs heavier every day. I'm not really ****ing before the morning though. It still doesn't explain why I have an extra amount of weight. Should I lower my calories even more?

I figured 2900 would just cut it for me, I'm 160lbs and pretty lean.

How long have you noticed that you've gained .5lbs for? If its over a long period of time then definitely cut down your calories or if not start doing a little cardio.

If your aim is a clean bulk then IMO you should look at gaining 2lbs a month, 24lbs a year in total which isn't too shabby.

This is the firs 5 days. Now I'm thinking that it could be because my metabolism hasn't yet adapted to an extra 1000 calories?

For me i need 3000 cals to maintain my weight and you're an inch taller than me and weigh about 14 pounds more so you should be eating at least 3000 imo. Usually after i cut for a period of time like you have and start my bulking diet, i gain weight very easily due to the long period of time that my body hasnt had excess cals but its good weight like my body doesnt store it as fat
