    How long did it take you to squat 315?

    this is for people that have already reached 315 (3 plates), im just curious how long it took you to get there from when u started lifting. im still on my way there.

    me too, i am a strong guy, but i hurt my knee during football and i stopped squating. I have kicked it into high gear with in the last month and i am up to 270, by the end of school i think i will be close.

    i started at 225 4 months ago, and now, im at 315x3. being a lineman helped me get a good base to start from

    holy crap, you started at 225? thats insane. you should be squatting 500 in no time if u can get to 315 in 4 months. reminds me of this kid on the football team at my school. he got up to 510 in a year

    DO NOT go ass to grass when maxing out thats bad for your knees and lower back.

    When maxing out make sure to wear a belt, and i would suggest knee wraps to reduce injury to a minimum, better safe than sorry.

    yes, but do they really? and is it not better to go as low as you can?

    why is it good to go as low as you can on higher reps but so bad to use a full rom on maxing out ?

    about 6 months. when your muscles actually get used to squatting low it will go up real fast....if ur just starting out.

    I must be in trouble then.

    I went from 190 to parallel to 335 to parallel in just under a year. I think I gained 10 pounds in that time.

    When you use that much weight, you cant go down that far without messing something up. When maxing you shouldnt go below or above parralel.
