ive been hearing that crap since i was 12 years old. for some reason i have a hard time believing the mayans had the technology to accurately predict something like that compared to what we have now

I think 2012 is when the sun reaches its peak (in a cycle) for solar flares and stuff like that. It was on the show "The Universe" on Discovery or History.

When was the last time any of you guys saw some mayans or aztecs walking around? The only ones I see are jumping fences to get a job picking vegetables. No racist, but let's not put too much faith in a destroyed civilization.

yeah I read something like that too. my one brazilian friend who is supposedly in this group of ppl that know about aliens and ets and ****. he said, he believes it will come true in 2012, but just the earth will get hotter and more earthquakes,tsunamis,etc and that some ppl will die but not all.he also said "jesus is alien.. his real name is sananda".. A big thing that may happen that day, is the poles will shift, and the earth may shift on its axis as well. This has been proven to happen before and there are huge changes.

The poles changing/earth shifting on its axis would mean huge climate changes, where it once is a desert could then see water, and not only that, the tides would totally change, possibly flooding much of what is now dry land.

It's definitely going to be an interesting day. As for the end of the world, I doubt that, though there may be some huge natural changes.

so how did they know about that a long time ago without any scientific technology? just like the pyramids they had so big that we couldnt even make today, and they had lazer type tools.my friend said aliens came and helped them and all that. supposedly theres ufo and alien things on the desert floors, a picture. but that could be like crop circles which we know is a big fake.
