Smile 6 or 12 reps early

Hey im been working out a while(2 months), but i feel weak compared to others. And my goal is putting on size. So im thinking is it smart of me to do a lot of strenght training early 6-8 reps. So later on i can lift heavier when i gonna do 10-12 reps later? Then i will gain a lot more size, because i can lift heavier Thank you for answers
