When to cut for football
Well so far this summer I have done nothing but bulked up and was wondering when I should start cutting down and getting ripped for the season. I belive are first game is the last day of August. Ive never really cut before but basically this is my plan:
Pre Breakfast Cardio
Breakfast-Cereal,fruit
protein shake
Meal consisting of turkey lunch meat
protein shake
meal based on tuna
Main workout w/ weights
protein shake w/glut
more cardio
meal based on turkey lunch meat
meal based on turkey lunch meat and vegetables(green beans etc.)
Like I said never eally cut before will be drinking lots of water. Will this plan get me through?? Any suggestions will be great thanks

I thought for football you want to be big. Just what I've always thought. Why would you give up some of your strength before the season? Just doesn't make much sense.

Why go on a bodybuilding diet for cutting to gain speed? lol... give me a break. At 245lbs i have gained speed not lost..But then again i know how to train for speed.

Yeah you maybe 245 but since you are a bodybuilder I bet most of it is muscle. Im not saying going on a bodyuilding diet Im saying go out and run, do some sprints a few days a week and keep your diet clean for a few weeks before camp. You dont want to have a high bf% in football. Fat does absouloutly nothing it just sits there. Now I agree you want to be big for football thats why you lift weights. This is just my opinon.

No iam not the Simmions of football...but i will say this most of what was taught me was by people that know him and friends of his...so hey who know's. btw warrior how long have u been training? Id guess a few months...b/c u really have nothing worth saying or worth listening too. I just practice what i preach and give what knowledge was passed down to me by great powerlifters and great strengh coach's.

I would like u to back up some of your ****. Lets see some pics maybe some legitimate stats that you have put up. You probably are a ****ty football player. Theres no reason to start **** over the internet and tell people they dont know anything.....thats immature. So either give us something useful or just dont respond at all. Nobody enjoys your kiddish remarks.

I wont post pictures on this site... people have seen my pictures here that i trust. Besides what does a picture have to do with anything? Iam not a bodybuilder i dont train to look good i train to lift big weight s. What does stats matter this is the internet? Anyone can make up ****... trying to argue with somone on the internet saying u lift more etc... is retarted b/c u cant prove either one. I have Gave more usefull info in my life then u will ever use so why dont u start backing up that big talk with somthing usefull huh? why would u cut when u gained mass, most likely FOR FOOTBALL in the FIRST place
it doesn't make sense
just so u don't get fat from excessive bulking, cut in the winter, which is what i will do
otehrwise have fun with no carbs/cals goin thru practice losing weight getting ur butt whooped

Yes iam a fatass powerlifter thank you for the comment. I get off pimping my silly programs? lol sure. Your right i dont have a desire to be a bodybuilder. As a matter of fact i dont even do bicep curls sad eh? As for discipline i have that.. i study a great amount of hrs learning what u dont know and will never know.

who cares who's a BB'er and whose a Powerlifter at the moment, let's set the aside. We're talking about cutting for football...I guess, if your a lineman it wouldn't hurt to shed those fat cells off and gain some more endurance, possibly speed if much off of it though. Other than that, I will never cut until I am done w/ football, then the true bodybuilding lifestyle will take over me. Until then, it's get huge and maintain speed so I can use that momentum to kick people's asses. I wouldn't worry about bodybuilding *hardcore*, key word hardcore there, until you stop playing other sports, b/c I think they interfere w/ BBing. I would rather be bodybuilding than playing football, but I can bodybuild my whole life, but not football, so I'm taking advantage of it while you can...
i dont know why i'm talking about that, but oh well
